What move-in/move-out cleaning is for

Handover cleaning has different requirements to a routine deep clean of a lived-in home. A property changing hands — whether you're receiving a brand-new possession, closing out a rental before handing back the keys, or preparing a property for the next tenant — usually needs a full reset rather than a touch-up, and often has move-specific mess that a standard clean doesn't account for: packing debris, protective plastic film residue on fittings and surfaces, and construction dust if it's a new-build possession.

What's included

This service covers every room using the same room-by-room checklist as our standard home deep clean — kitchen degreasing, bathroom descaling and disinfection, and a full dust-and-wipe of every surface, fan, light, and window grill throughout — plus extra attention to move-related mess that a lived-in-home clean wouldn't typically encounter, such as adhesive or film residue left behind by protective packaging and visible construction dust in newly handed-over units.

New possession vs rental turnover

A brand-new flat handover usually means removing construction dust and adhesive residue from protective film on fittings, windows, and floors before the property is truly move-in ready — builders' cleaning often isn't enough to remove this on its own. A rental turnover, by contrast, is about resetting a lived-in property to move-in condition for the next tenant, similar in scope to a standard deep clean but timed to fit a handover deadline.

How pricing works

Move-in/move-out cleaning is priced flat by property size — 1BHK, 2BHK, or 3BHK — the same way as our standard home deep clean, reflecting that it covers the whole property. It's priced slightly higher than a standard home deep clean to account for the additional handover-specific work.

When to book

This is worth booking a day or two before or after the actual move where possible — cleaning an empty property is faster and more thorough than cleaning around furniture and boxes. If you're booking around a strict handover date, let us know at booking so timing can be planned accordingly.

What's not included

This is a cleaning service, not a repair, painting, or pest-control service — any of those should be arranged separately if needed as part of a handover. Heavily soiled properties or very large layouts may be quoted with adjusted timing after the crew has seen the property.

Products and equipment used

The same degreasing, descaling, and sanitising products used in our standard home deep clean are used here, plus adhesive-residue removers for protective film left on new fittings and surfaces, and dust-focused equipment for construction dust in newly handed-over units.

How to prepare for your visit

Cleaning an empty or near-empty property is faster and more thorough than cleaning around furniture and boxes, so scheduling the visit right before move-in or right after move-out (once the property is largely cleared) gives the best result. If you're working to a strict handover deadline, mention this at booking so the crew can plan enough time. Point out any areas with visible construction dust or leftover packaging residue so they're prioritised.

After the visit

Walk through the property with the crew before handover keys change hands, checking rooms against the same checklist used for a standard home deep clean. This is especially useful for new possessions, where it's worth confirming construction dust and protective film residue are fully cleared before you move belongings in.

Choosing the right timing

If you can, schedule this for a day when the property is empty of furniture and boxes rather than mid-move — a clean is faster and more thorough on an empty property, and it avoids the crew having to work around stacked belongings, which can mean missed spots.
